Introduction
Hello, my name is Johnny Cook. I am from San Diego, California. I mean to do you well and hope my words and spirit influence your own creative quests to align entropy with reason.
From a very young age I’ve been a dreamer. My creative quests to draw, sing, write, and collaborate art has all been a conjuring of my imaginations contemplations in an attempt to create evidence of my existence. The culmination of my life’s work cannot be spoken of without the mention of creative conspirators. I could speak ad nauseam about my musical collaborators, or my creative colleagues who have inspired my artistic obsessions by leading their own personal charge to constantly evolve their crafts with honed efforts to define external points in the universe so others could have a more elaborate understanding of the way they see and interact with the world they wish to collaborate cohabitation with. With their passions toward personal creative success they have inspired my hand to continue my quest to make the world smaller by consistently expressing my daydreams, born of focused intent, intended to influence others awareness to their own art.
The most influential colleague to my attempts at visual art has been John Duckworth. I have been fortunate to have had such a dedicated creator in my social structure to bear witness to, collaborate with and be hypnotized by. Since 1989 when I first met him, I’ve challenged myself to somehow create from my most authentic self with intentions to answer his most prolific work with my own passions to succeed at cultivating an original existence. Our symbiance has been most realized in a youthful drawing collaboration we titled Cooked Duck Art Stuff. When we were vicenarians we shared a lot of time together and a lot of that time was doing what we both loved the most… Drawing. Although we have not lived in the same city for over 25 years we’ve managed to not only stay in contact but be supportive of each others artistic conjurings.
